Xbox Appear Offline Bug

The appear offline feature is Xbox one is pretty worthless... if somebody goes to your page, it simply says "offline." When you're ACTUALLY offline, it says "last online xx hours ago," so it's super easy for people to see when you're appearing offline.

Xbox 1 point · 3 years ago When you ask to be shown offline it still shows any achievements you get on your feed, even though you have asked to show that you are not active. level 1 I have 2 xbox accounts. both friends with the same person. one of them, they always appear offline . the other they properly appear online and offline. i have ownership of both accounts, troubleshooting is possible as a comparison between the two accounts can be made and see what is causing the issue. For starters, it seems that the bug affects primarily cross-platform friends.Meaning if one is playing on PS4, their Xbox One and PC friends are more likely to appear as offline. Friends showing as offline on Xbox friends lis even when they're set to online and online in games. Can't figure this out. Certain friends often appear offline in the Xbox Live friends list on my Xbox. Even when they're favorited, set to show as online, and even in the same game playing with me. Also apparently I don't show up as online either. Yes, I made sure that I didn't go into private settings and make myself appear offline all the time. I had this issue the other day and I opened the Xbox App on my PC and it said "appear online" there so for whatever reason I was appearing offline in the app. I clicked "appear online" and then my friends were able to see me online on my Xbox.
