Downloaded the app, checked the prices for a bunch of flights and then compared them to the results in google flights, hopper always had more expensive tickets, uninstalled the app.. For instance STO<->BKK. Same flights, Hopper €610, google flights €490.

So, as directed, I waited until 72 hours before the original flight would have departed and then went into the Hopper app and requested a cancellation and refund. Over the next 7+ weeks, I received 5 or 6 emails from Hopper telling me to rest assured they were working on my cancellation. Hopper apologized for the issue and stated that there was nothing they could do, citing a glitch in their booking system causing false prices to be listed. The only option suggested was to refund my ticket. What a mess. To answer your question, the Hopper App is NOT trustworthy. They need to update their FAQ topic, "Is booking with Hopper safe?" Refunds are always at the discretion of the airline and Hopper can only process what has been authorized by the airline.. If you made your booking within the past 24 hours, you might still be eligible to cancel your booking directly in the app without penalty for a full refund. The Hopper website says they have been named one of the best apps by New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Buzzfeed, Vogue, Tech Insider, TIME, and more. They have also received awards including Apple's App Store Best of 2015, the Webby Award for Best Travel App, and Google Play's Best Apps of 2016. The Hopper app has definitely improved after two years considering it was only available on iOS devices and users did not have an option to pay within the application initially. After going over the reviews, adding more flight options is a desired feature but overall the average user rating on Google play and Apple stores is 4+ which is pretty.
Restrictions on the used must be used within the next six months or loss the refund, not so good. Not sure what the situation will be, with COVID. When insurance was taken out we thought we had the option of a 80% refund. There is absolutely no way to contact anyone at Hopper, by phone, e-mail or app, once you have canceled your flight. I was at Magic Kingdom opening week and had 12 3-day park hopper tickets that I purchased from UT. After speaking with a great Guest Services cast member at Animal Kingdom she refunded the park hopper difference for all 12 tickets.
