Xfinity My Account App Not Working

I just replaced my xfinity leased modem with my own modem, sanctioned by xfinity. However, now the xfinity streaming app will not work on roku device. I have been dealing with this for 4 days. Comcast people do not know how to fix this, I have had a tech out twice.

However, I had a different process. I uninstalled the app. Unplugged the roku from the tv and the power to the roku. Unplugged router AND modem. Waited 40 seconds. Plugged modem in then router and lastly the roku. Installed the app once everything was online and signed back in my account. Thanks again and hopefully my process will help others too. 02.
