Black Common App Colleges

The Common Application is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to access, equity and integrity in the college admission process. We support a centralized or "common" online application system for more than 800 colleges and universities worldwide that enables more than 1 million students - a third of whom are first generation - to apply to college.

While there are over 100 colleges and universities that can legitimately call themselves HBCUs, only 43 are currently members of the Common Black College Application. The common application does away with the repetitiveness of traditional college applications by using one application for fifty separate historically black colleges and universities. By filling out this single common application, you’ve effectively applied for forty-six college at the same time, and the application process itself takes less.
